Strategy & Product Design

Our approach to strategic planning and product design is often defined as “human-centered” or “design thinking.” We begin every client engagement by identifying and involving the voices of the end-users. We build profiles of different stakeholders to identify beneficiary pain-points and develop new products. We focus on simple questions such as, "what outcome does each stakeholder group care about?" We test future scenarios, integrate marketplace insights and pilot early ideas to evaluate their success. In addition to understanding our stakeholder experience, we help our clients consider marketplace insights, explore new ways to innovate and testing different business models.
What distinguishes our strategic planning is that we never design without implementation in mind. Implementation begins in the planning and product design process and it is always co-created with our clients and their stakeholders. Over the course of fifteen years, we have designed strategies to enable the world’s biggest services company transform its sales organization, helped one of the U.S.’s largest human rights organizations expand its reach 1,000 fold, and transformed the largest nonprofit data publishing clearinghouse into a knowledge services organization.
"The people of the Crossland Group are unique in how they collaborate. They don't just impart knowledge—they draw it out and give you the chance to have the 'aha!' moment yourself."
